so it has been about a month since my last blog and God has been doing exceedingly, abundantly above ALI could ask or think.  He has been guiding and ordering my steps.  I have booked a job on a major Print  Shoot and even took an Intensive with Amy Gossels Casting.  I must admit, that the industry is evolving almost faster than I can keep up.  We did a few on- camera shoots for commercials and I learned that directors are no longer looking for the tee-thy shots and spokesperson characters.  They want a more intimate, personable Actor who can engage an audience to trust what they are saying.  Not to "sell" products, but to own the words, make them your own as if YOU were saying them for the first time!  I learned that you must " NAIL IT" n the 1st take and seduce them with your first line.  Commercials are challenging because you don't get to memorize, take the script/copy/sides home and build a character.  you get minutes to imagine a back-story, commit to it yet, be open to direction.  I think I will love the commercial industry.  I am going to be taking more intensives and classes with AGC.  I also became a member of The Agency Online and love their easy site.   There are detours, pitfalls, sometimes avalanches through out this journey but I am determined to weather each storm and persevere over every hurdle.   I just completed my first sketch comedy reel which is posted here and It is hilarious.  I have many original characters in my head just waiting to jump out.  Stay tuned and see who shows up next.  The journey is just beginning, stay tuned........

My First Sketch Comedy Reel

This journey has been very tumultuous and rocky to be blunt, but worth it every step of the way.  It started since I was 3 years old and had many detours along the way.  This is my passion and my dream and I won't give up.  All I ever hear is perseverance is key to success and i'll give it all i've got.  It's not about being the biggest star or winning the most awards but accomplishing something fulfilling each day.  Putting my best foot forward and knowing that I am pleased with what I have done.  That the legacy I leave behind is one my children can be proud of and say that" mommy always went after what she believed in". No matter the obstacle, the trial, the doubter, no matter how many others got there FIRST!   I strive to reach my mountain tho the climb is never easy, yet it is attainable.  So I press with every fiber of my being, and my faith grows stronger with each milestone passed.  I may have along way to go to get to my finish line but I thank God that i'm worlds away from the STARTING POINT.........This is My Journey to Stardom, and i'm well on my way!
